RapidPOP is an online broadcast for college students. We work with student video crews to capture and unleash news from the top 200 universities across the country. RabidPOP reflects all aspects of a young adult's life and surrounding experience and gives its viewing audience a vehicle to express their thoughts, viewpoints and perspective in an ever-evolving digital medium.
RabidPOP's features stories covering all aspects of youth culture: music, sports, religion, technology, fashion, television, movies, politics and relationships. Through interview segments, originally-produced series, and exclusive vignettes, our audience feels valued and relevant, respected for their thoughts and substantive opinions.
RabidPOP is a cultural zeitgeist for youth culture... an automatic, daily destination for young men and women wanting to engage, absorb and react to their local and national community. It seeks to deepen connections among young adults, where dynamic, newsworthy content mirrors the diverse culture of our national universities.
RabidPOP commenced operations in 2007 and is led by Mike Lyon, Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Lyon owns extensive entrepreneurial experience having created and launched Sez Who Magnetic Messages and The Wild Child, two separate product lines sold in upscale gift boutiques around the country. He served as an Executive Producer with The Interactive Channel, the first national interactive network cable launch, following its $120 MM IPO in 1996. In that capacity he managed a staff of 20 programmers, producers, and navigators in developing educational content, business and shopping applications and interactive games. Mr. Lyon is currently a Creative Specialist for a broad range of clients including ACE Cash Express, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Home Interiors and Joni and Friends. He produces content and develops marketing strategy for online projects, video productions, print, and fine art. Mr. Lyon earned a BA in Communications from the University of Texas-Arlington. He is active in his church, leads and teaches two small groups, and enjoys teaching kickboxing.

Mr. Waldrep practiced transactional business and corporate law for over 20 years. After receiving his executive MBA he began 14 years of entrepreneurial, start-up and internet experience. He has served as General Counsel, President or COO in organizations including Family Manager Network and Cytware and is the former CEO of Founders Trust, a private investment firm. He was a Charter and former Member of the Landmark Club, a member of the Advisory Board of Directors for Promenade National Bank, a former member of the SMU Mustang Club Board of Director, and currently serves on the Regional Board and North Dallas Area Committee of Young Life. Mr. Waldrep earned his BA, JD and MBA degrees from SMU.

Mr. Farmer began his career as a Consultant at Whiteley Management Services in San Antonio, a medical consultant firm. In 1997 he went to work for start-up Internet company Cytware. At Cytware he worked as a Sales Executive, then was promoted to Vice President Business Development. In 2000 Mr. Farmer went to work for internet company InfoExpress based in Los Altos, California, as Vice President-Business Development. There he was responsible for developing strategic alliances, and was directly responsible for expanding business from $3 MM per year to $7 MM. He then worked for another west coast company Velocity as Vice President-Business Development, providing high speed Internet to the multi-family market. During the company's IPO Mr. Farmer was integral in negotiating a contract that represented over a $100 MM in new business. Mr. Farmer has a BS from Texas A&M University. He is married to Isabelle and has one son Ben.
